As we head into the final stretch of the quarter, this is the point where everything feels… messy.

All those ambitious projects are often way behind…

Priorities that popped up mid-quarter are now competing…

And the to-do list for the next few weeks looks like a CVS receipt.

I caught myself this week spiraling into an old reflex that might sound familiar:

“I just need to push harder and DO MORE.”

But this is the old me clawing her way back toward the surface after years of inner work…

Because I’ve learned over and over again that growth doesn’t come from adding more. It comes from ruthless, rigorous subtraction.

SO many times our default is to add more more more.

More offers. More tools. More people. More ideas.

But when the foundation is messy – scaling it just makes (you guessed it) – a bigger mess!

And the biggest mess usually rears its ugly head riiiight at the end of the quarter. Something about that 90-day mark – hits right on schedule.

That’s why it’s so important to have a quarterly reset button.

A regular, pre-scheduled cadence to hit pause, shut the laptop, and get up ABOVE your business.

For me, that often looks like the EOS quarterly pulsing meeting I run for many of my clients.

It’s a simple (but powerful) agenda where we run through what worked, what didn’t, the numbers, the team, the business structure, and what we want to focus on next.

It helps us sweep clean the graveyard of half-finished projects and disruptive grenades that have been thrown onto the field mid-quarter (I’m lookin’ at you Visionaries…)

And helps reset the focus for the coming few months – getting everyone on the same page, and all rowing in the same direction.

The thing that costs you the most isn’t lack of effort – it’s the dilution of your focus.

Every extra initiative slows you down, causes your team distraction, and slows down progress toward your annual goals.

But when you hit pause and take a dedicated moment to clear the clutter and get CLEAR on what actually moves the needle…

Everything accelerates (in the right direction, even!)

Growth can feel simple.

Sometimes all it takes is an intentional reset.

So as you go into these last few weeks of the quarter – let me ask you:

What’s the ONE thing that, if finished, makes everything else easier or irrelevant?

What ONE thing matters most for you to finish this quarter strong?

Drop me a comment here and let me know
