Lately my weekends look like this 👇
I just closed on a new investment property, so these days, my “after work” time looks a lot like… more work.
Not the same kind of work I do behind a laptop of course.
More like paint-stained hands, power tools, and endless trips to Home Depot.
I swear I am not a hustle-and-grind type. Not anymore.
After years of recovering from burnout and learning (the hard way) what real rest looks like, I’ve gotten much better at setting healthy boundaries – especially with myself and my overblown achievement drive.
But sprints I’m okay with.
Because life really does move in chapters.
There are building chapters where you’re making big moves, creating new growth, and saying yes to opportunities that stretch you.
Those are the seasons where the pace quickens and your plate gets (over)full.
And then there are resting chapters – where you recover, reflect, spend most of your time generating new ideas, and reconnect with what matters most.
This season, I’m deep in a building chapter. Balancing a full consulting workload, a new renovation project, family visiting from Australia, and still carving out time for my personal life in between.
Yeah, it’s A LOT right now… but so far nobody has died, and somehow everyone still gets fed everyday.
It’s a sprint, and that’s okay.
Because I know what’s waiting on the other side is worth it – wealth, freedom, and the kind of life I’ve been intentionally designing for years.
It’s also why my ‘reset’ time in Loretto, Kentucky, every year is non-negotiable.
Each year after the madness of the holiday rush, I sneak off to one of my favorite hideaways with a small group of women.
It’s a beautiful 788-acre farm with small lakes, walking paths, a walkable labyrinth, and wooded areas where I get feral and touch a lot of plants.
It’s our “safe space” – the place we go when we need to unplug, breathe, and figure out what’s next.
Previously it’s been “invite only” – but this year we’ve decided to open up a few select spots to widen our little community.
It’s not for everyone – The lodging is basic. The meals are nourishing, but hardly gourmet fare. There’s wifi if you HAVE to use it… but gloriously cell service is spotty. (We like it this way. 🙂)
And we’re pretty choosy about who we bring into the circle.
But if you’re a woman in business, low maintenance, and craving time to stop taking care of everyone else and focus 100% on YOU while you think deeply about your next chapter…
Then I’d love to invite you to join us.
Just be aware this is what we call a “Non-ROI retreat.”
While we do make dedicated time to help each other with our businesses since many of us are life-long entrepreneurs…
There won’t be any keynote speeches or Q&A panels. There will be no PowerPoint slides or conference rooms. There’s no Job Fair or marketer speed-date session.
There’s not even a hidden mastermind or master class upsell pitch waiting.
Just wide open days of relaxation, creative space, and rest. And a circle of generous, successful, grounded women who get it.
If that sounds like exactly what you need in your next chapter, shoot me a message here and I’ll send you the details.
