Most of us got into this crazy business to create more freedom in our life. For someone like me, that meant the freedom to travel and live/work wherever I wanted in the world.
I spent nearly 10 years traipsing around Southeast Asia, Australia, Europe, and the US – working from anywhere there was wifi, and exploring the exciting nooks and crannies of each new city in between. These days I have other goals and have put down one or two roots, but still take off on extended “workcations” at least 2-3x / year.
But that’s me… and galavanting around the globe might NOT be your idea of freedom. Maybe it’s the freedom to stay home with your kids so you don’t miss a beat as they grow into wacky little humans.
Or maybe it’s the freedom to sit on a cushy little nest egg of 6-months worth of expenses and have the peace of mind that you can tackle any emergency that might come your way.
Or maybe it’s simply the freedom to control your calendar, decide how and when you want to work, and wake up every morning (or afternoon) choosing what YOU want to focus on that day INSTEAD of feeling tied to someone else’s schedule.
Whatever freedom means to you, building your own offers and products is a great way to create more stability, revenue, and freedom WITHOUT adding more work to your plate. It gives you a reliable way to add an additional revenue stream to your business, create more security, or even replace your “done for you” client work.
Now…I work with a few select clients myself, and I LOVE the clients I work with. I probably won’t be giving up client work anytime soon, and I’m not saying you need to run out and ditch your clients the moment you launch your new offer. (or ever!)
But wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t NEED them?
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could take all those hard-earned skills and use them to put money in YOUR pocket instead of someone else’s?
The best thing about creating semi-passive income offers is that you can scale them without adding more work to your plate. So you can grow and expand your offer stack to build an empire…
Or you can keep it small and simple – using your offer to replace one or two of your clients, so you have more flexibility and freedom in your business.
